Behavioural Ecologist | Doctoral Researcher | Nature Guide
My name is Korbinian Pacher, I am a Berlin based behavioural ecologist with a strong focus on collective behaviour. I am particularly interested in the adaptive value of collective behaviour in predation contexts, especially how prey organisms can achieve effective predator protection through self organisation and how predators can overcome the collective defences of their prey. I prefer to study these fascinating behavioural arms races in the field using varying approaches from classical observations to custom computer vision methods and modelling. As a freelance guide i design and lead tours throughout nature in and around Berlin.
